Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of TargetVault and any target you download. By creating an account or downloading a file you accept them.
Last updated: 8 June 2026
1. Provider & contact
TargetVault is operated by the provider identified in the Imprint. For any enquiry about these terms, please use the contact details listed there.
2. Scope & acceptance
TargetVault offers free printable shooting targets and target bundles in PDF and ZIP format. Downloads require a free account. By creating an account or downloading a file you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to handle firearms in your jurisdiction to register. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and use a single personal account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.
4. Account features
An account on TargetVault currently lets you:
- sign in with email and password,
- browse and download free targets and free bundles,
- view your personal download history,
- change your email address (requires confirmation at the new address),
- change your password,
- delete your account at any time in Account Settings.
5. Licence for downloaded targets
The files we provide are licensed to you under a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, worldwide licence for lawful private training. You may:
- print as many copies as you need for your own use,
- use them at authorised shooting ranges or other lawful settings,
- share a printed sheet with training partners on the same firing line.
You may not:
- redistribute, re‑upload, sublicense, or resell the files,
- use them in paid courses, instruction, or commercial training without prior written permission,
- remove credits, watermarks, or attribution, or modify a file to claim authorship,
- use the files (or any part of them) to train machine‑learning or generative‑AI models.
6. No paid offerings yet
TargetVault currently does not sell premium bundles or any other paid content; every download is free of charge. If we introduce paid downloads in the future, separate terms will be added here before the first sale — covering at least price and currency, the payment provider, your statutory right of withdrawal under the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG), and how refunds are handled.
7. Safety, lawful use & no instruction
The targets are tools for marksmanship practice with legally owned firearms. You are solely responsible for:
- complying with the firearms law of your country (in Austria: WaffG 1996) and any range regulations,
- only shooting at authorised ranges or other locations where live fire is lawful,
- using eye and ear protection, verifying your backstop, and handling firearms safely at all times.
TargetVault provides no firearms training and is not a substitute for instruction by a qualified trainer. We do not sell firearms, ammunition, or regulated firearm components.
8. Intellectual property
All designs, artwork, layouts, copy, software, and other content on TargetVault are owned by the provider or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual‑property laws. Except for the limited licence granted in Section 5, no rights are transferred to you. Third‑party trademarks remain the property of their owners.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, or otherwise bulk‑download the site by automated means,
- circumvent account requirements, rate limits, or any access control,
- probe, attack, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure,
- use the service to facilitate any unlawful activity or to harm third parties.
10. Service availability & changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted availability and may add, change, or remove targets, bundles, or features at any time. Where a change would materially affect users, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable.
11. Liability
We are liable for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, except for personal injury or where mandatory consumer‑protection law (in particular the Austrian KSchG and the Produkthaftungsgesetz) requires otherwise. We are not liable for any misuse of firearms or of the downloaded targets by you or third parties, for damage caused by improper printing or handling of the printed material, or for the acts and omissions of third‑party services you choose to use.
12. Third‑party services
TargetVault relies on third‑party providers for hosting, authentication and analytics — currently Lovable (hosting, runtime, analytics) and Supabase (authentication, database, file storage). The data they process for us is described in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms and privacy notices apply when you use those services.
13. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Account Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, liability, and governing law — remain in effect.
14. Data protection
How we collect and process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and conflict‑of‑laws rules.
For consumers in the sense of the Austrian KSchG, jurisdiction follows § 14 KSchG (your domicile, habitual residence or place of work in Austria); for EU consumers Art. 18 of the Brussels I bis Regulation applies. For entrepreneurs in the sense of § 1 UGB, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Linz, Austria. Mandatory consumer‑protection rules of the country where you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
16. Severability & no waiver
If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the invalid clause is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its commercial purpose. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page and dated above. Material changes will be announced inside your account or by email at least four weeks before they take effect for existing accounts. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
18. Contact
For questions about these terms, please use the contact details in the Imprint.
